When Hip-Hop and Reggaeton Collide

Check out Allison Desir's piece "When Hip-Hop and Reggaeton Collide" in The Mantle: A Forum for Progressive Critique. The article pays close attention to issues of race and ethnicity, and features interviews with music industry executives. Plenty of fascinating stuff here!

Hola Raquel,

Thanks for posting this article! It's helping out in my research process of my thesis and is offering another aspect to consider when thinking about the production of Latina artist/emcee within the hip hop genre, the racialization of women and how it affects them... Interesting stuff as always!
